Hey Hey Hey! How was everyone's holiday weekend? The girls and I spend the day at home playing in the pool to beat the heat and then I BBQ'd for dinner we then ate s'mores and played with sparklers. The girls actually got to bed earlier than they have been the past week. It was as good as the holiday could have been with just the three of us. I love that my girls had fun on the 4th without a huge party and friends.
You remember me mentioning how great that first week with the hubs not home turned out to be a good one? Well, it all went down hill from there. First I found a nail in one of the cars tires so I had to get that fixed, then our pond went on the fritz and I could not figure out what was wrong with it so after days of it acting up and me thinking the worst could happen, blown motor, busted pipe, dead fish, I finally was able to get someone to come look at it and get it fixed.
This heat has just made the days so much more....
Mowing the lawn and weeding is so not fun when the sun is just beaming down on you and then when your done not having somewhere to cool off. Here the the PNW most of us don't have A/C and don't usually need it but we have had an unusually HOT summer.
By dinner time I have not been in the mood to cook so we were eating out a lot, I finally decided enough is enough and decided to figure out how to grill more the turkey burgers on the grill and that helped for a day then the propane ran out, so I had to figure out how to do all that. You never realize how much the hubs does for you until he isn't here.
The girls have been staying up late too. It's just been too hot to put them to bed at normal time. Last weekend was the latest they stayed up because the power went out and so even though it cooled down outside the fans weren't on to bring in the cool air so there was not way the girls could sleep.
I guess when I think about it, things haven't been that bad. Life happened is all.
I did manage to eat right and get all my body beast workouts in everyday so I'm feeling strong and looking great these days and when your kids pool is the only way to beat the heat my tan has been on point! ;)
Here's to looking on the bright side more during my birthday month!Yep, I'll be the big 3-0 this month.

I'm Happy!
Even though the day wasn't going so well in my last post, kids will be kids and it may be that time of the month, ;) this week has been a really good one for me. There are so many things that have been up in the air so to speak but now they all seem to be falling in place.
If you didn't know the hubs and I have an Etsy shop, we make home decor wooden signs. We have been making signs for ourselves and friends for awhile but just this spring decided to start selling our work. It is a hobby that we do together and I love it! We sold out first sign last weekend YAY! It was so exciting and after our client received it she gave us a awesome review. Before this we were losing hope on selling out stuff and took a break on creating any thing but now I can't wait to get in the garage and start sanding!
My first fitness challenge group started and I've been getting a lot of interaction from this great group of woman who I believe are going to have amazing results! A bunch of other great things have happened with Beachbody as well, I may even make what they call success club for the first time, I just need one more client....so if you've been thinking about working on you fitness goals or just trying out Shakeology let me know and I'd love to get you started!
Last but certainly not least we have a tenant! We are moving across the country at the end of the summer which we weren't expecting so we put our house up for rent and even though we aren't outta here for another couple months we already had a family secure the deal of renting our house. They seem like the sweetest people too, they wrote a letter and everything describing themselves and how much they love our home. Since they were so sweet to write the letter my next sign will be made for them.
A weight has been lifted knowing through this move that our home will be taken care of, because it is our home not just an investment property. We put a lot of our personal touches on it and it makes me happy to know how much others appreciate it too.
I sure hope this is the start of a great, easy going summer here while the husband is away.

Mama Check Out
*Warning I'm having a bad day*
I'm not wanting sympathy and being a mama in any circumstance is no cake walk I understand that and respect it. With that being said, since the day my oldest was born my husband and I have not spent a single night just us without our kids, I've been away or he has been gone, but together nope. Lately I feel like we really need to reconnect as a couple, we aren't in a big fight or having any relationship issues, that's not what its about. I just would love a day or 2 where I'm not the mama and he's not the dad and we just are together in the moment.
Maybe someday I will get that mama check out but for now I'm going to continue to be the best mama I know how to be, giving out lots of kisses and hugs, wipe away tears, give talkings to, cook every meal, entertain, break up fights, tickle, bath, brush teeth and put to bed my girls while the hubs is gone for 9 weeks of training across the country. Then have him come home to pack us up and move the family across the country. Get settled into our new home, find and interview a new babysitter and maybe just maybe after phase 1 get a 2 hour date night.

My Beauty Favs
I love all things beauty and trying everything from high end to drugstore! There are some essentials that I find myself purchasing on repeat.
First up skincare, I have super duper dry skin so moisturizers are a must. Trader Joe's coconut Body Butter smells so so yummy and it really moisturizes my skin after a shower. I haven't found a favorite daily facial moisturizer but as for night Origins Drink Up Intensive Overnight mask is where its at, my skin is so dry that using it as my every night moisturizer is OK.
Just tried Tanwise this past month but it has quickly become a favorite, all the great beauty bloggers have raved about it so I had to give it a try. It is super easy to apply and fool proof, I just make sure to exfoliate during my shower before using then I use a tanning mitt to wipe it all over and leave it on either all day or night depending when I took a shower then wash it off and it leaves an amazing bronze not orange tan.
Makeup oh how I love you so! My all time favorite fountain is Bareminerals Bareskin, it looks so natural, glowy and doesn't look cakey which is a major issue for my dry skin. The best why I've found to apply the serum is with my Real Techniques buffing brush. Continuing on with my dry skin issues a highlighter is a must for me to keep my skin looking dull and The Balm Mary Lou Manizer has been my go to on getting that awesome extra glowy skin. Maybelline master studio hi-light in light bronze is an all in one for me. I use it as a bronzer, blush and even eye shadow. The Naked Basic pallet has great neutral shadows to achieve a everyday eye look. My last makeup must have is the Beauty Blender, no matter what concealer I use under my eyes I apply it with the Blender it helps keep the concealer from settling in those fine lines.
I am all about a deep conditioning hair mask especially now that I'm going back blonde. Loreal Total Repair 5 Damage Erasing Balm is AH-mazing! My hair always feeling super soft after using it.

Let's get this blogging started
Hey ALL!
Life has been all over the place these last few weeks. The hubs has had a different work schedule, that allowed him to be home more. The reason for that is we are officially moving across the country later this summer but before we make the move he has to go to school for training. All of this happening he worked it to spend more time home before he heads to the school. So I got the blog started and then everything has been thrown off, in a good way more family time!
I have big plans to get myself on a schedule for my blog! Since I started it I've been posting a lot about my fitness journey with beachbody, which I will continue to do but there is so much more to me and my family. So continue to follow me because I have so much more to share!

Real Life
I was planning to do a series of blog posts touring our lovely home, BUT I am not the best photographer and with the two kiddos I never can get a picture of the rooms without toys and sippy cups thrown everywhere, so it's taking time.
Today the house was clean of all toys during nap time so I decided to take a quick snapshot of our living room named the watching room by the girls I guess because its the only room you can watch tv.
Keep an eye out for the next room. ;)

The sun is shining and I am Happy!
Since becoming an online beachbody fitness coach I've really been struggling to find my niche. I'll admit that when I decided to be part of beachbody I didn't know exactly what I was getting myself into. Yes, I do have an awesome upline coach who provided me with a lot of information, but I really went into it thinking hey I love spreading the word on good health and fitness and really love beachbody, their products and what they represent so I'm in! Then I got started and became overwhelmed, I was afraid that even though I am in this for the right reasons, which is to motivate and inspire others to start their fitness journeys while watching mine and keeping each other accountable, that I would come off to my friends, family and people who I meet along the way as just another sales person trying to sell them something.
After I took the time to talk to my husband, close friends and did some person development that feeling is now gone. I know that I am here for the right reasons and that beachbody and it's products do amazing things to allow everyone to reach their fitness goals if done right.
I may be asking you to buy something but it is something that has personally changed my life for the better and I want everyone to experience the same with the products beachbody can provide. I know just as much as the next person that you can reach your fitness goals with all different types of diets, and workout programs but none of them add the support, motivation and accountability that I am willing to offer, I want to be that annoying personal trainer and friend that some days you hate and others days you love and appreciate for consistently "bugging" you till you have reached your goal and then continue to be friends and support each other beyond that.
In a little over a week I will be starting my first fitness challenge and at the moment the number of people in this challenge is small and some have not even fully committed but that's ok it's not about the number of people its about truly helping the ones that want that change of living happier, healthier lives.

It cost how much?!?!
The biggest objection I get with Shakeology and the Beachbody workouts are the price tags. I get super excited when I'm talking to someone who has started their fitness journey that may just need that extra push or wants to start their journey with me. For me its like a kid at Christmas the excitement I get when someone wants to kick butt and feel and look healthier.
Then I get shot down because of the price it takes to start that journey. "I would love to give Shakeology a try, but I'm on a tight budget." "I really want to get back in shape but I can't afford that right now."
I'm here to tell you that I don't have the money either but I budget in my monthly Shakeology. We are a family living on one income and it is not because my husband makes so much money that I don't need to work it is because I can't afford to work outside the home. You heard me I would be working minimum wage with long hours and putting my girls in childcare and then finish my work week with a paycheck that I would then hand over to the daycare. We get all our bills paid and live in a nice home and have cars in the driveway but after bills are paid and groceries are bought we don't have a lot of wiggle room but I make it work so I can have something that gives me the nutrition my body needs and energy I require to live the life I want to live.
It's all about making your body, your life top priority. Shakeology is $130 plus tax & shipping, yes giving up that kind of money in one lump sum every month seems like a lot but it really isn't when you break it down day to day. It is about $4 a day, stop and think....What have you spend money on today? Was it over $4? Was it even something you needed? Or wanted? I know just as well as the next mama who considers Target their mecca how easily you walk out of there getting WAY more than you originally went in for. My Target just put in a Starbucks, for a coffee lover it takes a lot to walk past the smell of goodness and not stop to purchase a good cup a joe. Then you have the dollar bin section that hosts a load of cute things that you don't need but it sucks you in anyway.
That is just Target, there are many other events that happen through the day where you spend money on unnecessary things, that even right now you think are necessary but are they really?
Here is a little compound effect for you. Starting tomorrow every time you spend $4 or more on something that you really didn't need write it down, continue to do it everyday for 30 days and then add it all up. How much was it? $130...more?
When you are truly ready to take that step to a healthier, happier you don't let money hold you back. Your WHY is way bigger then any price tag. You are worth it!

How did you spend Memorial Day weekend?
Hey guys! Did you get to enjoy a nice long Memorial Day weekend? We did! It wasn't an epic weekend or anything, but we did make sure to take time and reflect and remember the reason we get to have this long weekend.
As a family we went to the wear blue run to remember ceremony. Wear blue is a community that honors the service and sacrifice of the American military. Running is the way they honor and remember America's service members who have made the ultimate sacrifice.

I just felt like running.
Forest Gump is one of the best movies ever! Really though, I've gotten so caught up with my experience with 21 day fix that I haven't been taking advantage of the beautiful weather and getting out there and running. Well I got myself some new running shoes this week and decided to hit the trail to break them in. I really do love going out for a run, listen to the latest jams or a good book on tape. It's a great stress reliever and really lets me clear my mind.

I already missed a day! UGH!
I promised a daily update on my 21 day fix challenge and as you can see there was no day 3 post. I did do my workout but my children and husband can truly make it hard to sit at the computer and write a post worth reading some days. That is no excuse however because I've made this decision to let you guys in and I'm not holding up my end and for that I apologize. Now on to my thoughts of my 21 day fix thus far.
I'm going to be honest because I don't want to cheat you, I may be a beachbody coach but I'm still me and gonna tell you how I feel. I LOVE the workouts they are challenging and kicking my butt in a good way, I am and going to continue to see some awesome results. Drinking Shakeo everyday is still great I've made several different shakes using both vanilla and strawberry flavors and its been doing great things for my body! Where I am lacking is the whole using the containers to portion control, know that I AM clean eating and NOT over eating but as far as measuring each meal and snack based on the container I am not doing that, for me its tough. I make both breakfast and dinner for everyone in the family so when I make a scramble in the morning I'm not measuring out my veggies out in the containers because in the end I'm not sure how much off those veggies, eggs, turkey bacon I'm getting on my plate. Same with dinner, I'm making clean healthy meals for my family and I but again I'm not measuring out my portions while cooking. Once the meal is cooking everything is combined so its impossible to figure out how much I may be getting. I suppose also I'm just not trying that hard.
I've never had an issue with over eating, I've just not always eaten the best things for my body, I've had days where all I've eaten is junk all day. So just eating clean everyday I've continued to see results from the program.
The program is not a total bust, the staying on track with clean eating and doing the workouts WILL give me results.
I think this program can be great for others if they have more dedication to changing their eating habits of overeating with portion control and like I mentioned the workouts will give you amazing results.
I will continue to update you on my progress during the program. I can give you a day of clean eating meals but I'm not going to be able to tell you how many green container, purple container and so on I'm using because in the end I don't know.

I'm gonna turn these string beans into muscle!
Today was upper body fix for my 21 day fix challenge and it was intense these tiny arms of mine tried 10 lbs weights but only lasted about 30 seconds each round before having to go down to 5 lbs but I kept going and that's what was important right? My meals today were breakfast Shakeology with almond milk, banana and spinach added YUM, lunch was a yummy salad with lettuce, peppers, chicken breast, quinoa, and shredded cheese, snack was apple and peanut butter, last but not least dinner was roasted chicken with apple sweet potato hash and broccoli.
Besides more core workout today, I just deep cleaned the house YAY! I must be in a spring cleaning mode....Not really, I'm not OCD... but pretty close so a dirty house drives me BA-nanas!

Mowing the Lawn Counts As Cardio, Right?!?
Today I kick off my official first day of my 21 day fix challenge.
I'm super pumped! In other news today was a beautiful day, Not cool that we had cruddy weather during the weekend but then Monday rolls around and the Sun comes out. We enjoyed a picnic lunch with Ethan at a park near his work and then I came home and got to work making the back yard look pretty, I mowed, cleaned up toys and swept the deck. Now the girls are enjoying some yummy popsicles in the sunshine.
Now back to 21 day fix challenge I'm going to keep you guys updated daily on my journey, right now I'm a tad bit disappointed that I don't get to have as much cheese as I''d like, I LOVE cheese, but I'll play by the rules because I'm ready to get those abs and booty I've always wanted.

I'm a Team Beachbody Coach...What does that mean?
Well it's been over 2 years since my fitness journey started and things have only gotten better. I'll admit when the holidays came around last year I wasn't doing my workouts consistently like I was before, and I indulged a bit more in unhealthy foods. But I didn't stop working out though or motivating others to kick butt with their own work outs!
After the new year I started running more again and getting more workouts in and I was feeling good. One day I stumbled on an amazing lady (my mentor), that had a very similar lifestyle to mine, stay at home mama (kinda) moves a lot for husbands career, has two beautiful daughter and has a love for Shaun T too! :) She was out there working out, motivating others, looking amazing and shouting her love for physical fitness from the social media rooftops.. I thought "WOW, look at her! How awesome!=" Then I discovered she was getting paid to do those things, yes paid! She is even so successful at it that she's not just making a second income for her family she is the main income! How was she doing all this?!?! She is a Team Beachbody coach. After learning what a beachbody coach was and what a woman with very similar lifestyle to mine not only does but kicks butt at, I thought why can't I?
Don't think I just jumped into this with much reason, I've been at stay at home mom for 5 years now and I've been more then ready to get back out there and make a second income for our little family. Getting a "J-O-B" isn't that easy anymore now that I'm a mama, first I don't have a college degree, I worked in the banking industry for years before having my babies and if I went back to that I would be making minimum wage, working part time, paying a caregiver for my kiddos while I working and in the end, what was it worth to me? I would be paying someone else to raise my babies while I worked long hours to come home and be too tired to spend any real quality time with my girls. After all that I'd barely have any more money in the bank to show for it. Then when my husband actually has time off from his career of long hours I'd be stuck working!
So when I discovered there was a career out there where I could do something I love like working out, motivating other individuals who are ready to make the same lifestyle change I did and some day getting to meet Shaun T, I was ALL in!
What is a Team Beachbody coach?
Someone who earns income while helping yourself and others live healthy and happy lives. All by doing what you love, staying fit and healthy while inspiring others to do the same.

It's a Shakeology revolution!
You heard it here first...or maybe some where else, either way I'm going to tell you my thoughts on Shakeology.
Also known as your daily dose of dense nutrition, Shakeology comes in four flavors vanilla, chocolate, strawberry and greenberry. It's a nutrient-dense, superfood-packed protein shake that you can use as a meal replacement or you can just add it to your daily meal plan. There are many reasons why Shakeology is the way to go.
- It is a super easy quick breakfast for those that find themselves not having time to eat most days
- Way more enjoyable than taking your daily multivitamin
- Increase your energy levels, helping you to stay active
- gives you the extra oomph to get through your daily workout which can help with weightloss and aid in your fitness goals
- Helps with digestion
- Its just plain yummy!
Before drinking Shakeology I was always tired, blame it on the lack of sleep, the gray days here in the PNW or whatever other excuse I could come up with that day. Drinking coffee in the morning, a coffee or energy drink during the afternoon and still feeling tired and sluggish and feeling unmotivated to run or workout having to really push myself to do the workout or go on that run. Now I admit I still drink my one cup of joe when I wake up in the morning but then that's it! In all honesty I may not even need that one cup its just a habit after so many years. No more feeling unmotivated or tired in the middle of the day no matter the day.
Energy is the biggest thing I've noticed, I did take multivitamins before that I don't bother with now, who wants to swallow a pill when you can drink a delicious shake? Not me! Last night I noticed for the first time after washing and brushing out my hair that the tub drain didn't have hair sitting on top of it and I wasn't able to pull out a handful of hair off my head, I was always a shedder it never really bothered me because I never saw a decrease in hair on my head but I'm sure my family is happy my hair isn't in and on everything anymore.
I'm way less sore after a workout which says a lot since I've recently started a new workout which usually resulted in waking up the next morning feeling sore from head to toe.
This is getting to be long so as I continue to drink Shakeology I'll let you know what other awesome things I begin noticing about myself.
I'll leave you with a quote from my husbands experience with Shakeology
"Less knee pain, not sure if that's due to Shakeology or good exercises or what. Increase energy, excellent poops, better focus, more stamina in workouts"
Aww..leave it to the hubs to be short and sweet about it.
*I've tried the vanilla and strawberry

OOTD
Happy Hump Day! Oh, how I love the PNW! What ever happened to the phrase "April showers bring May flowers"? Today has just been a cold wet day, but that's OK, really. Its a nice day to stay in doors and enjoy each others company and that's just what I did! I took the girls to a friends house and let them play play play while chatting with one of my besties. Tons we both could have been doing but ya know, sometimes you just need some time to have girl talk with your friends and let your kids wear themselves out running up and down stairs playing dress-up.
Something else I like doing on rainy days, not getting outta jammies and curling up on the couch and enjoying coffee and watching a movie with the kiddos, so of course after getting home from some much needed girl time I peeled off my jeggings and traded them for yoga pants now I'm warm and cozy under the blanket and about to put a movie on.
sweater and scarf from F21, jegging are AE, and of course sporting some white converse.

Home Tour- Our Kitchen
Who doesn't like a sneak peek into someone else's home?!?! We bought our house a little over a year ago because we wanted a place to really make our own. I love our home, it is a true reflection of my style. I'm constantly changing it up, even if its buying new throw pillows for the couch or just rearranging the stuff on the kitchen counters. In the little time we've lived in our home we've done a bunch of home improvements and turned into some real DIYers doing it all ourselves. When I say doing it ourselves I mean, I have a vision and the hubby does all the hard labor and when he is done I go in and add decor to make it look pretty. ;) I'm going to take the home tour one room at a time, one post at a time. I'll start with the heart of the home, the kitchen! It was our biggest DIY project to date here are before and after pictures. If you have any questions about the process or on any of the things we used let me know! I may just write a post on the whole thing.
I LOVE Shaun T but not as much my husband.
Shaun T is flipping amazing but if it wasn't for my motivating husband I may have never found him. It all started about two years ago, my husband Ethan is in the military, and had just come home from his third deployment. He had come home with the ambition of being a healthier dad and husband, before he would just do what was expected of him for the military so he would go to work in the morning participate in physical training but would eat junk and even occasionally smoke cigarettes while deployed or during away training. He kicked those bad habits and started running on his own time. At first I thought, have fun with that, I don't have any weight to lose and I can eat whatever because I don't eat much anyway. After a month or so of him being home I started feeling lazy, look at my husband running at half marathon status, looking good, feeling good and me just sitting on the couch. I decided it was my turn to make the change, the first time I stepped out and ran my first one mile I came home looking like death, no really, Ethan and even my oldest Adalynn were asking "are you OK?" I continued on, began upping my miles and even completed a couple 5ks and 10k. It was awesome! Once I started running daily I started eating healthier naturally because I just preformed better when I ate the right food and I was eating more because of all the exercise. After a year of running and eating better I was feeling great but not really looking any different which was fine like I said I didn't need to lose weight. Then Ethan had to leave again, this time just for a month long training event. How's a mama of two suppose to run when the hubs isn't home to watch the kids? Yes we had a double jogger but you try pushing a 1 and 3 year old up a hill, if you can get passed the extra weight YAY! but my girls did NOT want to sit in the stroller next to each other for more then 2 minutes. So what was I to do?!? That's when I fell for Shaun T, we had a copy of Insanity that was collecting dust since before either kids were born. I put that sucker on and got started, every night after I put the kiddos to bed I would do a round of Insanity and after 30 days I not only continued to feel better but I looked AMAZING! I was so happy, before I was a mom that thought, well I had two babies my body is never gonna look like it did before kids and that is OK....Guess what? I looked BETTER than before babies! I wanted more so I continued on running and began doing T25. I was so happy with my new found outlook on health and fitness that I motivated everyone around me. The circle of people I motivated was small but it didn't matter I just liked supporting other individuals with their fitness goals. You want to know how my fitness journey has continued stay tuned.

My WHY
Hey all!
I'm a mama of two little girlies Adalynn and Emily and wife to my husband Ethan. I love being a mama and wife but I don't want those to be the only things that define me. There are so many more parts to me that only my close friends and family know about. All those awesome people have encouraged me to blog about it all, so I've finally decided to take that leap and put myself out there. This blog is going to be about anything and everything, home décor, DIY projects, physical fitness, health, make up, fashion and just a look into my life. Join me, follow me, let's be friends!
My family will always be my WHY
